Engineer, Site Risk Management
About this role
Site Risk Management Engineer at Constellation supporting nuclear plant operations through probabilistic risk assessment, safety analysis, and risk-informed decision-making. Available at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior levels based on nuclear engineering experience. Constellation operates the nation's largest U.S. fleet of clean energy nuclear reactors.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, maintain, and apply Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) models to support risk-informed engineering decisions and regulatory compliance
- —Ensure all engineering products align with applicable safety analyses, industry codes (ASME, IEEE), and NRC regulatory requirements
- —Perform site risk analysis, risk quantification, and technical evaluation of plant modifications and operational changes
- —Support emergency preparedness, outage planning, and departmental coverage as assigned
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
- —Entry level: High school diploma plus relevant nuclear facility experience acceptable
- —Mid-level: 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- —Senior: 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- —Ability to maintain NRC unescorted access or meet access requirements
- —Favorable medical examination results per position duties
Desired
- —PRA (Probabilistic Risk Assessment) experience including model development, maintenance, and risk-informed applications
- —Familiarity with NRC risk-informed regulatory framework and risk metrics
- —Experience with PRA software tools (e.g., RiskSpectrum, CAFTA)
- —Knowledge of nuclear plant systems and operational procedures
