About this role
Constellation seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise supporting nuclear plant operations at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior levels. You'll drive engineering analysis, equipment problem-solving, and technical leadership on programs with direct impact on site safety and operations.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs
- —Serve as subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems affecting plant operations
- —Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses supporting technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, and ensure compliance with nuclear codes and regulations
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage activities as directed
- —Apply engineering principles and maintain adherence to design criteria, practices, procedures, and standards with proper configuration management
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
- —Entry level: Engineering degree required
- —Mid-level: 2+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- —Senior: 5+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Experience with turbines
- —Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
