About this role
Constellation, the largest private-sector power producer in the U.S., operates a diverse nuclear fleet and is investing multi-billion dollars in modernization through 2030. This mid-level or senior Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineer role supports ongoing nuclear plant operations and engineering initiatives under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- —Perform mechanical, civil, and structural engineering tasks applying nuclear industry codes, safety analyses, and regulatory requirements
- —Ensure all engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes (ASME, NRC), engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements
- —Participate in the development and implementation of effective engineering processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail
- —Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures
- —Support emergency response activities, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage engineering support as directed by management
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Nuclear)
- —2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Mid-level) OR 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Senior-level)
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- —Strong grasp of mechanical/structural systems and fundamental functions performed in nuclear operations
