About this role

Senior-level civil/structural engineer supporting nuclear power plant design, operations, and maintenance at Entergy's Russellville facility. This role identifies and resolves complex plant issues, maintains configuration control, and acts as liaison between engineering and station departments. Position can be filled at Engineer I through Senior Lead level based on experience (0–2 years to 6+ years in nuclear).

Responsibilities

  • Support Maintenance, Operations, and other on-site organizations in resolving plant issues stemming from significant events or complex equipment problems
  • Support and maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties
  • Interface with Maintenance and Operations to develop cost-effective maintenance strategies
  • Issue engineering changes (design changes and temporary modifications) to support emergent plant issues and equipment reliability
  • Support planning and prioritization aspects of project life cycle
  • Implement action plans to address deficiencies via corrective action and work management processes
  • Support changes in system configuration/design and design basis
  • Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures
  • Participate in project teams for critical on-line system outages or refueling outages
  • Serve on outage engineering support teams
  • Maintain required qualifications and training for group functions

Preferred qualifications

  • Civil, Structural, and Piping experience
  • Experience with codes and standards (IWE/IWL, ASME, Piping)
  • SRO (Senior Reactor Operator) license or certification on a PWR or BWR
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license

Location, schedule, and travel

Onsite in Russellville, Arkansas; up to 25% travel
