About this role
Constellation seeks an Electrical Engineer to provide advanced technical problem-solving and engineering analysis in support of nuclear plant operations. Roles span entry, mid-level, and senior positions for engineers with strong discipline knowledge in industry codes, regulations, and electrical systems at nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs in support of nuclear plant operations
- —Provide technical expertise to identify and resolve equipment and system problems; manage engineering issues and perform assigned engineering tasks
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with code and regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
- —Meet requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements with favorable medical examination/testing as applicable to position duties
Desired
- —Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
- —Power industry experience
- —Experience in troubleshooting and failure-modes analysis
