About this role
Electrical Engineer supporting nuclear plant operations at Constellation Energy, the nation's largest producer of clean and reliable energy. This role performs electrical engineering and technical tasks under general supervision, applying engineering principles to ensure compliance with safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements at operating nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Perform electrical engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision, applying general engineering principles to nuclear plant systems
- —Assure all engineering products are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements
- —Participate in the development and implementation of effective electrical processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures
- —Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard electrical processes and procedures
- —Perform emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities as directed by management
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
- —3 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience
- —Meet requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.3.4) Standard for nuclear plant personnel
- —Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Engineer in Training Certification
- —Familiarity with Westinghouse/Emerson Ovation Digital Systems
- —Knowledge of NERC requirements and/or medium voltage circuit breakers
