About this role
Electrical Engineering role at Constellation Energy supporting nuclear plant operations. This position—available at Entry, Mid-level, or Senior Engineer level—provides technical expertise in electrical systems, equipment diagnostics, and engineering analysis for nuclear facilities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing engineering solutions, providing subject matter expert consultation, and supporting regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement electrical engineering analysis, activities, and programs
- —Provide technical expertise and consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve electrical equipment and system problems
- —Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
- —Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision, applying electrical engineering principles and design criteria
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management and adherence to design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- —2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Mid-level) or 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience (Senior)
- —Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements per NRC/site standards
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
- —Detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations (NEC, IEEE standards, 10 CFR Part 50)
Desired
- —Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
- —Good grasp of techniques and understanding of fundamental functions performed by electrical engineering group
- —Experience with nuclear power plant electrical systems, instrumentation and control, or protection systems
