About this role
Electrical engineering role supporting nuclear plant operations at Constellation, the nation's largest clean energy producer. Position available at Mid-level (E02) requiring 2 years nuclear experience, or Senior (E03) requiring 5 years nuclear experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
Responsibilities
- —Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
- —Provide technical expertise and consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
- —Fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
- —Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles
- —Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes
- —Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
- —Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with regulatory changes
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and outage activities as assigned
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Nuclear)
- —Mid-level (E02): 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- —Senior (E03): 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Professional Engineer (PE) Registration
- —Electromagnetic Transients Program (EMTP) experience
- —Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) experience
- —Generator/Plant modification and design experience
