About this role
12-month contract role as an Electronics Technician supporting Westinghouse nuclear operations. You will be trained on EDM equipment maintenance and instrumentation & control (I&C) field work, with assignments rotating across nuclear sites following initial training in July 2026 at the Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA.
Responsibilities
- Perform I&C tasks including installing, calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation, control circuits, PLCs, sensors and automated process control systems
- Operate, set up and program ZAP EDM sinker machines for precision manufacturing
- Perform instrumentation testing using digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and customer supplier equipment/simulators
- Interpret drawings and implement test procedures
- Operate electronic and electrical test equipment
- Read and follow drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling/testing electronics units
- Document maintenance activities and maintain equipment logs
- Perform field cable installation work
- Ensure compliance with engineering and production teams to support manufacturing operations
- Learn, understand, and practice appropriate quality, health, and safety procedures for each work assignment
Preferred qualifications
- Strong military background with electronics work experience (Electronics Technicians, Avionics Specialists or similar)
- 2+ years of similar work experience
- Familiarity with ZAP EDM or similar sinker/wire EDM equipment
Location, schedule, and travel
Travel required to various nuclear sites; initial training July 2026 in Madison, PA; field-based work assignments.
