Electromechanical Maintenance Technician
About this role
Field Services Technician with Westinghouse Steam Generators Business Unit performing operational activities on Steam Generator Chemical Cleaning and liquid waste treatment projects at nuclear power plant sites. Role involves hands-on execution of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical work under strict nuclear safety and quality procedures, with full-time travel to project sites.
Responsibilities
- —Perform mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical installation and maintenance work following established nuclear procedures
- —Install and connect flexible hoses, piping systems, and execute bolted joint assemblies to torque specifications
- —Install, commission, and test high and low voltage transformers; perform electrical grounding and connections per approved drawings
- —Handle, transfer, and unload chemical products under controlled conditions; manage inventory and secure tools/materials
- —Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment; perform functional, electrical, and system alignment testing
- —Monitor and inspect plant systems (pumps, boilers, compressors, valves); interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and packaging schematics
- —Draft technical procedures, test sheets, nonconformance reports, and complete maintenance documentation
- —Maintain strict compliance with nuclear safety, radiation protection, environmental, and quality requirements
Qualifications
Bac +2 (BTS, DUT) or equivalent qualification; 0–5 years experience in nuclear operations, radiation protection, or quality assurance; knowledge of mechanics, electrical systems, and electromechanical systems; office software proficiency
Location
France-based with full-time travel to French nuclear power plant sites and potential international Westinghouse project locations.
