About this role
Electrician responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components and controls at the Westinghouse Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility. Work involves solid state, relay-based, and air logic control systems; programmable logic controllers; and electrical distribution systems in a nuclear fuel fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair solid state, relay-based, and air logic control systems
- Install and repair switches, junction boxes, wire, control panels, multiple AC & DC motors, generators, and controllers
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and multiple equipment control systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical systems
- Diagnose equipment trouble and make necessary repairs
- Install and repair electrical distribution systems
- Read and update electrical schematics
- Apply local and national electrical code
- Follow accountability, criticality, safety, security and hygiene procedures
Preferred qualifications
- Certificate or associate's degree from industrial electricity program

100% onsite at Westinghouse Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility, Hopkins, South Carolina
