Electrical Engineer, Supply
About this role
Electrical engineering role supporting nuclear power plant operations at Constellation. Provides technical expertise in plant design, licensing basis defense, system analysis, and procurement engineering to ensure plant reliability and regulatory compliance. Multi-level position (Engineer 1–3B) based on experience.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs supporting nuclear plant operations
- —Defend plant design and licensing basis; prepare and approve design outputs and plant changes per approved processes
- —Support installation, testing, and commissioning of plant systems, components, and facility modifications
- —Ensure plant physical and functional characteristics are accurately documented and maintained in configuration management systems
- —Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical involvement and root cause analysis
- —Implement Procurement Engineering processes compliant with design and technical specifications for nuclear power plants
- —Perform independent technical research, reviews, studies, and analyses supporting regulatory and technical projects
- —Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, or achieve regulatory compliance
- —Provide technical leadership and mentorship on programs impacting site operations
Qualifications
Engineer 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field. Engineer 2A: Bachelor's degree + 2+ years experience (1+ in nuclear/related engineering); completion of training and job-specific qualifications. Engineer 2B: Bachelor's degree + 3+ years experience; 1+ year as Engineer 2A. Engineer 3A: Bachelor's degree + 5+ years experience (or 9+ years equivalent without degree); demonstrated solid performance for 2+ years; mentoring capability. Engineer 3B: Bachelor's degree + 7+ years professional experience; 1+ year as Engineer 3A; completion of advanced engineering/EPRI/industry training.
