Electrical Engineer
About this role
Constellation, the nation's largest producer of clean and reliable energy, seeks an Electrical Engineer to perform engineering and technical tasks supporting nuclear plant operations. This role can be filled at Mid-level (E02) or Senior (E03) levels, with salaries ranging from $92,700–$114,000 (Mid) to $122,400–$154,000 (Senior). You will ensure compliance with safety analyses, industry codes, and NRC regulatory requirements while supporting day-to-day plant electrical systems and emergency response.
Responsibilities
- —Ensure all engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements
- —Perform assigned electrical engineering and technical tasks under supervision, including design, analysis, and documentation
- —Support engineering work functions related to plant electrical systems, protection schemes, and modifications
- —Respond to emergency situations, provide departmental coverage, and support refueling and maintenance outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear)
- —Mid-level: 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience; Senior-level: 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- —Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- —Previous experience working in a nuclear plant
- —Experience with large electrical modifications including generators, exciters, and relays
- —Relay protection experience
- —Switchyard updates or upgrades experience
- —ETAP or similar electrical simulation software experience
- —Professional Engineer (PE) Registration or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification
