EHS Technician
About this role
EHS Technician supporting Health & Safety and Radiological Protection activities across nuclear power plants. Based in Hospitalet de l'Infant, Spain, reporting to the Spain EHS Manager. Operates in a highly technical, regulated, safety-driven nuclear environment with responsibility for dose management, ALARA compliance, and safety supervision during plant outages.
Responsibilities
- —Support Health & Safety Management System and Radiological Protection activities
- —Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and accident investigations
- —Develop and implement policies to identify and mitigate hazardous workplace conditions
- —Monitor and supervise Radiological Protection matters including dose management for exposed workers
- —Participate in field H&S and Radiological Protection supervision during nuclear plant outages and inspection campaigns
- —Prepare Health & Safety Plans, hazard assessments, ALARA Plans, and preventive/protective measures
- —Coordinate multi-employer worksites and plan/supervise special hazardous activities
- —Participate in compliance assurance activities, environmental management system audits, and routine inspections
- —Support planning and execution of health, safety, and radiological protection training
- —Prepare documentation for worker facility access including training records and PPE documentation
Qualifications
- —Technical or academic background in Health & Safety, Occupational Risk Prevention, Environmental Health, or related disciplines
- —Native or fluent Spanish language proficiency
- —English language level B2 or higher
- —Fit to work as an ionizing radiation–exposed worker
- —Ability to work with medium level of autonomy and supervision
- —Strong customer orientation (internal and external)
Desired
- —Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety
- —Experience supervising field activities during nuclear outages or inspection campaigns
- —Experience preparing Health & Safety Plans and ALARA Plans
- —Knowledge of multi-employer site coordination
- —Experience with technical documentation and regulatory requirements in nuclear environments
- —Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented profile with strong communication skills
Location
Hospitalet de l'Infant, Spain; primarily local scope with minimal travel; overtime may be required and will be compensated.
