Civil/Structural Design Engineer
About this role
Civil/Structural Design Engineer supporting a nuclear power plant in resolving plant issues, maintaining configuration control, and collaborating with maintenance and operations teams. Positions available at Engineer I through Senior Lead level based on experience.
Responsibilities
- —Support Maintenance, Operations, and other site organizations in resolving plant issues from significant events or complex equipment problems
- —Interface with Maintenance and Operations to develop cost-effective maintenance strategies
- —Issue engineering changes (design changes and temporary modifications) to address emergent plant issues and equipment reliability
- —Support and maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties
- —Implement action plans to address deficiencies via corrective action and work management processes
- —Support changes in system configuration, design, and design basis
- —Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures
- —Participate in project teams for critical on-line system outages or refueling outages
- —Serve on outage engineering support teams
- —Maintain required training and qualifications
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline with nuclear power plant relevance; experience requirements vary by level: Engineer I (0–2 years), Engineer II (2–3 years), Engineer III (3–4 years), Senior Engineer (4–5 years), Senior Lead (6+ years) in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent
Desired
Civil, Structural, and Piping experience; knowledge of codes and standards (IWE/IWL, ASME, Piping); SRO license or certification on PWR or BWR; Professional Engineering (PE) license
Location
Onsite in Russellville, Arkansas; up to 25% travel; available for additional hours and alternate locations during storms, outages, or emergencies
