About this role
Civil/Structural Design Engineer supporting a nuclear power plant in resolving plant issues, maintaining configuration control, and collaborating with maintenance and operations teams. Positions available at Engineer I through Senior Lead level based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Support Maintenance, Operations, and other site organizations in resolving plant issues from significant events or complex equipment problems
- Interface with Maintenance and Operations to develop cost-effective maintenance strategies
- Issue engineering changes (design changes and temporary modifications) to address emergent plant issues and equipment reliability
- Support and maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties
- Implement action plans to address deficiencies via corrective action and work management processes
- Support changes in system configuration, design, and design basis
- Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures
- Participate in project teams for critical on-line system outages or refueling outages
- Serve on outage engineering support teams
- Maintain required training and qualifications
Preferred qualifications
Civil, Structural, and Piping experience; knowledge of codes and standards (IWE/IWL, ASME, Piping); SRO license or certification on PWR or BWR; Professional Engineering (PE) license
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite in Russellville, Arkansas; up to 25% travel; available for additional hours and alternate locations during storms, outages, or emergencies
