High school diploma or equivalent; 0–2 years analytical laboratory experience; knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques; ability to identify process upsets; competency with shop math, basic conversions, and statistics.
About this role
Entry-level chemistry lab technician supporting Westinghouse nuclear fuel and component manufacturing. You will set up, calibrate, and operate analytical equipment; prepare chemical standards and reagents; analyze samples; troubleshoot instrumentation; and perform dimensional inspections and visual quality checks on nuclear materials and products. Second shift, onsite at Columbia, SC facility.
Responsibilities
- Setup, calibrate, and operate analytical equipment according to approved procedures
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards for chemical analysis
- Review analytical data, identify trends, and interpret results
- Troubleshoot and perform first-echelon maintenance on analytical instrumentation
- Conduct dimensional inspections, physical measurements, and visual inspections using non-destructive methods
- Perform analysis of solutions and powders; maintain lab cleanliness and equipment standards
Preferred qualifications
Chemical Technology certificate or similar credential.

Second shift, 100% onsite, Columbia, SC.
