Required qualifications

- Nuclear industry experience under Safety Related Requirements (e.g., NQA-1)
About this role
Lead supplier quality management for Westinghouse's major mechanical equipment programs (structural materials, cranes, auxiliary equipment, valves). Manage a distributed multinational team of quality engineers and technologists across the Americas and Europe, ensuring externally sourced products meet nuclear industry standards and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and direction to a distributed team of Quality Engineers and technologists located in America and Europe
- Recruit new talent including interns, co-ops, and entry-level engineers and technologists
- Ensure team members are trained, qualified, and capable of supporting Supplier Selection, Assessment, and Quality Program Development
- Coordinate with external partners to ensure suppliers maintain Quality Assurance Programs aligned with nuclear industry standards and contractual obligations
- Direct investigations and compliance assessments, verifying adherence to technical specifications, inspection procedures, and non-destructive testing standards
- Oversee Supplier Oversight activities (Witness and Hold Points) during production processes
- Drive best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement in project performance and margins
- Develop and implement team development plans and mentor next-generation engineers
- Collect, analyze, and summarize engineering data and trends for management reporting
- Engage with external customers, partners, and Westinghouse senior management
