Required qualifications
Currently enrolled in or pursuing Alternance in bac +2 (BTS, DUT) or bac +3 (Licence, BUT); background in Mechanics, Electromechanics, or Nuclear fields; proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
About this role
Join Westinghouse as a Field Services Apprentice Technician supporting Steam Generator Chemical Cleaning and liquid waste treatment projects at nuclear power plant sites. You'll perform hands-on maintenance, mechanical assembly, and system operations under supervision of Project, Site, or Shift Managers, while developing expertise in nuclear safety, radiation protection, and quality compliance.
Responsibilities
- Handle, lift, and transfer components, heavy equipment, and chemical products under controlled conditions
- Install and connect flexible hoses and piping systems; execute bolted joint assemblies to torque specifications
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Conduct system alignment and operational checks (pumps, boilers, compressors, valves)
- Monitor and inspect plant systems and equipment; work at height in compliance with safety regulations
- Draft technical procedures, test sheets, nonconformance reports, and maintenance records
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to experience feedback and lessons learned processes
- Maintain questioning attitude and proactively identify, report, and manage deviations per procedures
Preferred qualifications
Training in progress or completed in SCN (Steam Generator Chemistry), RP (Radiation Protection), or CSQ (quality) relative to nuclear industry.
Location, schedule, and travel
Full-time, site-based work at French nuclear power plant sites with potential travel to other Westinghouse projects in France and abroad.
