About this role
Westinghouse seeks an AP1000 SRO training instructor to design and deliver initial and continuing education programs for licensed reactor operators. You will develop training curricula, manage simulator-based instruction, conduct needs analysis, and create advanced educational tools (simulators, multimedia, videos) in classroom, plant, and simulator environments. Report to the Operations and Technical Training Manager in Madrid.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process for initial and continuing education programs
- Manage analysis, design, and implementation of training needs in your specialty area
- Design, develop, and deliver initial and continuous training courses for licensed and non-licensed operations personnel via classroom, plant, and simulator sessions
- Collaborate on simulator malfunction analysis, implementation of corrections, and testing
- Coordinate training programs and provide support to training committees
- Define and develop advanced educational tools (simulators, multimedia, videos, models) and maintain existing resources
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in power plants or industrial facilities
Location, schedule, and travel
Madrid headquarters with hybrid onsite/offsite model; availability required for national and international travel during project participation
