Advanced Project Manager
About this role
Advanced Project Manager for Westinghouse's Reactor Component Upgrades and Major Programs team. Manage moderate to high-complexity nuclear projects and medium-sized teams (10–30 members), overseeing project execution, cost estimation, scope/schedule/risk management, and customer negotiations for reactor component upgrades and operating plant modifications.
Responsibilities
- —Manage all project management processes (scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, stakeholders) for moderate to high-complexity projects or portfolios
- —Lead and develop medium-sized teams of 10–30 members in a matrix environment
- —Author project management plans and baselines per Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR); develop cost estimates and proposals for operating plant support and modifications
- —Oversee proposal processes and drive customer negotiations; interpret and communicate project/contract requirements and changes via integrated change management
- —Coordinate project communications with team, customer, and stakeholders; manage project records in Westinghouse databases and systems
- —Identify improvement opportunities, lessons learned, and risk avoidance strategies; conduct final quality assessments and close projects through financial, scheduling, document management, and resource systems
- —Provide senior management with accurate project status reports and forecasting; support financial planning on assigned projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business, construction management, or related technical discipline. Minimum 5+ years as project manager (or 3 years project management plus 2 years technical leadership role).
Desired
Familiarity with commercial nuclear industry; global work experience; business acumen; PMI/PMP certification.
Location
On-site at Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
