About this role
Resident Site Manager for the Xudapu CAP1000 nuclear project. You will serve as Westinghouse's primary on-site technical authority and official stakeholder contact, overseeing all site activities from equipment installation and I&C system commissioning through commercial operations. Responsibilities span project leadership, budget/schedule management, quality oversight, and coordination across customer and internal technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as overall Westinghouse site lead with authority to provide official positions and direct resources for plant site services from installation through commercial operations
- Manage all on-site activities including AP1000 I&C systems installation, testing, commissioning, scheduling, planning, security, training, and material logistics
- Coordinate with customer and Westinghouse staff to implement site services, expedite responses to information/service needs, and lead project kickoffs and commissioning meetings
- Manage and direct Site Engineers in performance of contracted I&C duties; provide leadership and mentoring to Technical Leads
- Oversee multi-million dollar project performance to meet quality, schedule, and financial goals; manage resource assignments and cost/schedule baselines
- Compile and deliver reports on scope, schedule, budget, performance, and lessons learned; maintain logs tracking site hours, issues, and metrics
- Assess degraded and non-conforming conditions; review design changes, system health reports, and performance metrics; exercise design and signature authority within area of expertise
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities; share AP1000 lessons learned and operational experience from worldwide projects
Location, schedule, and travel
On-site at Xudapu facility 100% of the time; requires travel to/from project site.
