About this role

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS), one of the largest nuclear power plants in the US. This role supports Waste & Radwaste Facility (WRF) operations and requires working with energized equipment (up to 13.8 kV) in a nuclear facility environment.

Responsibilities

—Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair WRF electrical systems and control systems to identify root causes • Minimize plant equipment downtime while performing repairs and preventive maintenance • Work safely around energized equipment (up to 13.8 kV), hazardous chemicals, temperature extremes, heights, and confined spaces • Support refueling and short-notice outages including line roles and responsibilities • Collaborate with other WRF teams and external customers to ensure overall team success • Attend and complete scheduled technical training and support Emergency Response Organization (ERO) activities as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of electrical apprenticeship or 3+ years experience as electrician; pass EEI MASS test; U.S. person status (citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee); willingness to serve in Emergency Response Organization (ERO); subject to random Fitness for Duty testing
