About this role

The Work Week Manager at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (2,700 MW dual-unit BWR) is responsible for safe and effective preparation and execution of the weekly integrated Station Schedule across all operational modes. This role coordinates all work activities—surveillances, maintenance, modifications, and clearance activities—while managing nuclear safety risk (CDF/LERF), generation risk, reactivity risk, and radiological exposure. Serves as 24/7 single point of contact for the assigned work week.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, release, and orchestrate weekly work including prioritization and integration of emergent work
  • Perform comprehensive risk assessments and risk management activities including nuclear safety (CDF/LERF), generation risk, reactivity risk, and radiological risk
  • Ensure clearance requirements, work impacts, technical specification applicability, and post-maintenance testing are identified and documented
  • Serve as 24/7 single point of contact for assigned work week and provide leadership for target week process
  • Develop and implement System Outage Windows (SOWs) and manage Voluntary Limiting Condition Operations (VLCOs)
  • Coordinate work activities between work groups to minimize equipment out-of-service time and maintain safety system availability
  • Review work documents for personnel safety, plant impacts, technical specification compliance, and testing requirements
  • Evaluate emergent work, adjust priorities and risk assessments, and integrate into overall schedule
  • Publish daily work week schedule updates and conduct critical assessment of work week implementation
  • Coordinate Forced Outage Review Team (FORT) callout and other work group callouts
  • Perform Evolution Coordinator duties as assigned and participate in Outage/Nuclear Emergency Response Organization (NERO) activities
  • Lead or actively participate in Daily Station Status Meetings, Work Classification/Screening Meetings, and After-Action Reviews

Qualifications

  • BS/BE degree or equivalent commercial nuclear experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
  • Unescorted access capability to Susquehanna Steam Electric Station
  • Basic knowledge of nuclear plant operations through plant-specific certification, projects, maintenance, engineering, or equivalent plant/process experience

Desired

  • Internal candidate with 5+ years on-site experience
  • Knowledge of Susquehanna-specific processes and fundamentals
  • Proficiency with NIMS, Primavera (P6), or Syntempo
  • Fundamental understanding of work management processes
  • Familiarity with operations, maintenance, and engineering roles and responsibilities

On-site at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, near Berwick, Pennsylvania; 24/7 availability required as single point of contact for assigned work week
