About this role
Supervise and direct instrumentation and control (I&C) technicians at a nuclear power plant. Oversee maintenance of safety-critical I&C systems, coordinate technician workload, develop and approve departmental procedures, and interface with operations and engineering on station commitments and regulatory responses.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and supervision of I&C technicians
- Direct and coordinate maintenance activities on instrumentation and control systems
- Schedule and coordinate work load for I&C technicians
- Analyze and prepare responses to station deviations, commitments and audits
- Develop departmental procedures for I&C systems
- Review and approve procedures and procedure changes
- Provide support and interface with operations, engineering, and other departments
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Studies or related discipline
- Associate's degree in related field (allows for 7+ years supervisory experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
Location, schedule, and travel
On-site; up to 25% travel; exposure to cold, heat, loud noise, radiation, and outdoor conditions; office work 51–75%; operating machinery up to 25%
