About this role
Supervise laborers, janitors, and supplemental personnel at nuclear stations to maintain safe, clean work areas in non-radiological zones. Manage daily work assignments, employee training, equipment operations, and compliance with station programs including drum control and lubrication tracking.
Responsibilities
- —Supervise daily activities of laborers, janitors, and supplemental personnel
- —Assign, prioritize, and train employees for daily work activities according to work procedures
- —Direct employees on daily work assignments throughout the station
- —Provide manpower support to departments including firewatches, crane operation, forklift driving, and furniture moving
- —Monitor and track the Station Drum Control Program by processing data into computer systems
- —Conduct daily station walkdown inspections to ensure areas are free of liquids, lubricants, and debris
- —Monitor and track issuing, processing, and storage of lubricants per station lubrication program
- —Monitor and maintain oil response training
- —Respond to oil spills and adverse weather conditions
- —Complete daily timesheets and performance appraisals
- —Train employees on proper safety habits and hold weekly safety meetings
- —Schedule work activities and make personnel action recommendations
- —Review and recommend revisions to work procedures
Qualifications
- —5 years of relevant supervisory experience
- —Knowledge of station policies and procedures
- —High school diploma or GED with 9+ years of directly related supervisory experience (alternative path)
- —Associate's degree with 7+ years of directly related supervisory experience (alternative path)
- —Plant Access Training
Desired
- —Bachelor's degree in Technical Studies or related discipline
- —Knowledge of bargaining unit contract
- —MARC training
Location
Office-based (76–100%), up to 25% cold/heat exposure, up to 25% outdoors, up to 25% radiation exposure, up to 25% travel
