Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or related technical discipline); 8+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams; Nuclear industry experience with Safety Related Requirements (NQA-1); Experience managing quality and engineering teams.
About this role
Lead a distributed team of Quality Engineers and Technologists across North America and Europe overseeing supplier quality compliance for large structural materials in nuclear power plants. Manage supplier selection, assessment, quality assurance program alignment with NQA-1 standards, and team development within Westinghouse's nuclear supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and direction to distributed Quality Engineers and Technologists in America and Europe
- Recruit, onboard, and develop talent including interns, co-ops, and new hire engineers and technologists
- Ensure team qualification and support Supplier Selection, Assessment, and Quality Program Development
- Coordinate with external suppliers to maintain Quality Assurance Programs aligned with nuclear industry standards and contractual obligations
- Direct investigations and compliance assessments verifying adherence to technical specifications, inspection procedures, and non-destructive testing standards
- Ensure efficient execution of Supplier Oversight activities (Witness and Hold Points) during production
- Collect, analyze, and summarize engineering data and trends for management reporting
- Develop and mentor team members on technical and professional growth
