Supervisor Mechanical Maintenance
About this role
Supervise and coordinate the Maintenance Division at a nuclear power facility operated by Constellation Energy. Lead craft personnel through safe, NRC-compliant maintenance activities; manage performance, training, and compliance; and interface with schedulers, planners, and regulatory agencies to support reactor operations.
Responsibilities
- —Supervise craft personnel to ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely, effectively, and in accordance with NRC regulations and facility procedures
- —Ensure department personnel are properly trained, qualified, and supervised for assigned work and emergency plan qualifications
- —Administer coaching, mentoring, performance management, and disciplinary action for assigned employees
- —Communicate significant facility and personnel issues to Maintenance Manager and facility management
- —Foster open communication and collaboration with internal and external organizations including INPO and regulatory agencies
- —Participate in work control coordination, scheduling, and engineering meetings for online and refuel outage activities
- —Support and administer Maintenance processes including training programs, surveillance, procedure revisions, and Corrective Action Program (CAP)
- —Supervise vendor inspections and equipment repair activities
- —Ensure effective procurement and use of materials, parts, tools, equipment, and M&TE
- —Identify and support improvement opportunities
- —Participate in all aspects of Maintenance Department management to support safe and efficient facility operation
- —Respond to emergency situations, provide departmental coverage, and support outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or GED with 6 years of related maintenance experience, OR Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 4 years of related experience, OR Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2 years of related experience
- —Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Minimum 3 years of nuclear power plant operations experience
- —Fluent use of electronic work management systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Location
Onsite at Constellation Energy's Clean Energy Center (nuclear facility). Participation in emergency response and refueling outage activities required.
