About this role
Supervisor responsible for directing Instrumentation & Control (I&C) maintenance division at a nuclear power facility. Oversees craft personnel to ensure safe, compliant execution of maintenance activities while meeting NRC regulations, facility procedures, and clean energy production goals.
Responsibilities
- —Supervise craft personnel to ensure assigned I&C maintenance activities are performed safely and effectively in accordance with NRC regulations and facility procedures
- —Ensure department personnel are properly trained, qualified, and supervised for all assignments including emergency plan qualifications
- —Administer coaching, mentoring, and performance management including disciplinary action for assigned employees
- —Communicate significant facility and personnel issues to Maintenance Manager and applicable management levels
- —Foster open communication and collaboration with internal and external organizations including INPO and regulatory agencies
- —Participate in work control, coordination, scheduling, and engineering meetings for online operations, load reductions, forced outages, and refuel outages
- —Administer maintenance processes including training programs, surveillance programs, procedure revisions, and Corrective Action Program (CAP)
- —Identify and support improvement opportunities within maintenance operations
- —Supervise vendor inspections and equipment repairs
- —Ensure effective procurement and use of materials, parts, tools, equipment, and M&TE resources
- —Participate in maintenance department management to support safe and efficient operation of the facility
- —Perform emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage support as directed
Qualifications
- —High school diploma or GED with 6 years of related maintenance experience, OR Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 4 years of related experience, OR Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2 years of related experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Pass favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- —Proficiency with electronic work management systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- —Minimum 3 years of nuclear power plant operations experience
Location
Onsite at nuclear facility; includes emergency response and call-out availability
