About this role
As an AP 1000 Operations Instructor intern, you will support the development and delivery of training programs used to prepare nuclear power plant operators and technical personnel.
Responsibilities
- Support development, maintenance, and improvement of technical training materials, presentations, student guides, learning activities, and digital learning products Observe classroom, laboratory, and simulator-based instruction to understand how licensed and non-licensed nuclear operators are trained and qualified
- Assist instructors with training development activities using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process
- Support incorporation of plant modifications, operating experience, procedures, and technical information into training products Participate in development and maintenance of multimedia products, digital learning content, and instructional technologies used in AP 1000 training programs Become familiar with reactor operations principles, operator responsibilities, plant response, operating procedures, and the role training plays in supporting safe and reliable nuclear plant operation Qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in nuclear, mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering, or related engineering degree Completed Sophomore year of college Demonstrated interest in nuclear power generation, reactor operations, operator training, technical instruction, or workforce development We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
