Sr. Manager, Projects
About this role
Lead project delivery and operations for the offshore Xudapu I&C project at Westinghouse. Oversee multi-functional teams across offshore and onshore scopes, managing schedule, cost, risk, and customer relationships for a complex nuclear instrumentation and control (I&C) project. Responsible for technical program management, commercial oversight, vendor integration, and strategic alignment with customer leadership.
Responsibilities
- —Oversee delivery of all offshore I&C work and support overall delivery across offshore and onshore operations
- —Manage offshore units with oversight of forecasting and reporting on revenue, margin, cost, schedule, and risk
- —Develop and execute technical program/project management best practices and templates; provide training and mentoring to project teams
- —Gather and report consolidated project status and financial information to leadership
- —Enforce rigorous commercial and contract management to protect Westinghouse interests
- —Foster strong customer relationships while ensuring commercial success
- —Engage on critical issues to ensure timely closeout and alignment with customer leadership
- —Plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for administrative and business processes
- —Organize project teams, assign responsibilities, develop schedules, and determine resource requirements
- —Monitor and report on project status including cost, timing, and staffing
- —Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards
- —Identify and resolve obstacles to on-time, on-budget project completion
- —Oversee integration of vendor tasks into project plan and track vendor deliverables
- —Ensure safety and quality are primary focus on all project activities
- —Execute and lead new Xudapu support contracts and critical issues as they arise
- —Own select critical issues and drive to closure with reporting at various levels
- —Ensure strategic initiatives are properly staffed, managed, and tracked
- —Actively manage open items and action plans to ensure execution
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related technical field
- —10+ years of progressive experience leading large, complex I&C (or EPC) projects in the nuclear industry
- —15+ years of progressive, combined technical and/or project experience on complex I&C applications
- —8+ years of experience with AP1000 systems
- —PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification
- —Westinghouse Program Manager qualification
- —Understanding of nuclear I&C systems, applications, and processes
- —Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally
Location
Remote (anywhere in United States); up to 25% travel required, including international; may require extended or off-normal hours for critical issues
