Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science, OR Active/Inactive SRO license. 10 years overall experience including 4 years power plant and 1 year nuclear power plant experience. Active SRO license, inactive SRO license, SRO certification, or plant operational knowledge consistent with ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 engineering manager requirements. Meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 selection and qualification standards. Maintain minimum facility access requirement or unescorted access with favorable medical examination per position duties.
About this role
Senior Manager of Design Engineering at Constellation, the nation's largest clean energy producer. Lead all engineering functions at a nuclear facility, manage engineering staff performance and development, serve as backup to the Site Engineering Director, and ensure NRC regulatory compliance and operational excellence across station design and engineering programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the engineering function to meet station needs and NRC regulatory requirements
- Manage performance, development, and compensation of assigned engineering personnel aligned with site and corporate objectives
- Participate in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance reviews for Site Engineering
- Provide engineering and technical leadership for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
- Serve as senior resource to Nuclear-wide programs regarding standardized and enhanced engineering systems and processes
- Support emergency response duties, department coverage, and outage activities as directed
Preferred qualifications
Professional Engineering (PE) Registration. Advanced technical degree or MBA.
