Constellation, the nation's largest producer of clean energy, is hiring an I&C Electrical Engineer to support nuclear plant operations at the Byron Clean Energy facility in Byron, IL. This role offers two career levels: Mid-level ($92,700–$114,000) or Senior ($122,400–$154,000). The position involves designing, analyzing, and maintaining instrumentation and control (I&C) electrical systems that are critical to safe and reliable reactor operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering and technical tasks related to I&C electrical systems under general supervision, applying nuclear engineering principles
- Ensure all engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes (ASME, IEEE), and NRC regulatory requirements
- Participate in development and implementation of effective I&C processes and techniques in compliance with established policies and procedures
- Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures
- Support emergency response duties, department duty coverage, and outage activities as directed by management
Preferred qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
- Experience with electrical systems, including instruments and controls (I&C)
- Familiarity with nuclear safety-related systems and design basis analysis
