Required qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience
  • Working knowledge of procurement practices, business/contract law, accounting principles, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency with MRP, ERP, purchasing/logistics systems, and materials/services delivery fulfillment processes
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; demonstrated negotiation, influence, and persuasion ability
  • Analytical and priority management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, forecast trends, and perform cost/value analysis
  • Ability to handle high-volume workload while maintaining quality and sound business judgment

About this role

Sourcing Specialist role supporting Dominion Energy's nuclear fuel cycle and safety-related procurement at the North Anna Nuclear facility (2 PWR units). You'll manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts for nuclear-qualified materials and services, ensure 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21 compliance, and handle high-volume procurement during normal operations and outages.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase and manage standard agreements for materials, equipment, services, rentals, and leases; identify, solicit, evaluate, and award bids for supplier quotations and proposals
  • Analyze supplier proposals for price, safety performance, legal/insurance compliance, quality, delivery, and alignment with sourcing strategy
  • Negotiate, award, and implement contracts and purchase orders; follow up and expedite overdue orders
  • Apply knowledge of nuclear safety-related parts procurement and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B & 10 CFR 21 regulations; resolve nuclear corrective action issues and compose responses for closeout
  • Communicate with field and project personnel to evaluate contract compliance; resolve material delivery, price, quality, and invoice discrepancy issues
  • Support cost improvement identification and implementation; facilitate competitive bid processes with Legal, Auditing, Corporate Risk, and Tax groups
  • Provide 24/7 rotating on-call coverage for after-hours, weekends, holidays, and outage support

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering (other disciplines may be substituted)

North Anna Nuclear facility, Mineral, VA. Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote. Up to 25% travel. 24/7 rotating on-call coverage required.
