Military Fellowship Program (SkillBridge) - Supply Management
About this role
A Department of Defense SkillBridge-approved fellowship program for transitioning military servicemembers to gain hands-on experience in Dominion Energy's Supply Management organization supporting nuclear and fossil generation facilities. Fellows work across materials management, sourcing, transportation, and warehouse/logistics functions critical to nuclear power plant operations. Successful completion may lead to full-time employment consideration; fellowship extends up to 180 days.
Responsibilities
- —Perform supply chain and logistics functions including materials and service procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, category management, vendor selection, and distribution
- —Create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing, logistics, and outside suppliers
- —Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning and forecasting
- —Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization
- —Prepare bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements; negotiate contract terms and participate in bid determination
- —Work within one or more of the following functional areas: Materials Management, Sourcing, Transportation, or Warehouse/Logistics
Qualifications
- —Be an eligible servicemember with command approval to participate in SkillBridge program
- —Be within 180 days or less from separation date (EAOS, EAS)
- —Have met all instructional criteria outlined in DODI 1322.29 and relevant Service instructions
- —Obtain and provide final notification of command approval to the employer
Desired
- —Experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or warehouse operations
- —Familiarity with materials management, sourcing, transportation, or fleet operations
- —Knowledge of inventory control and production planning
Location
Multiple locations across Dominion Energy's footprint, including nuclear generating stations, fossil plants, corporate offices, and field operations; up to 180 days on-site fellowship rotation.
