Site Manager
About this role
Site Manager at Westinghouse Nuclear serves as the official onsite representative at nuclear power plants, providing technical leadership and rapid response support for Instrument & Control systems, DCS platforms, and other Westinghouse equipment. You'll manage multi-million dollar service projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and maintain authority to direct resources on matters affecting plant safety, availability, and capacity factor.
Responsibilities
- —Serve as official Westinghouse site lead with authority to direct resources and provide official positions on safety, availability, or capacity factor issues
- —Act as primary onsite technical contact for customer management and plant personnel on Westinghouse systems, products, and services, with specialization in Instrument & Control and DCS systems
- —Manage all onsite activities of WEC Nuclear service commitments including work scope, Health Physics/ALARA compliance, scheduling, planning, security, training, and material logistics
- —Coordinate implementation of site services between Westinghouse and customer staff; serve as technical liaison to expedite information and service responses
- —Manage multi-million dollar projects ensuring compliance with WEC/Utility policies, budgets, schedules, and performance metrics
- —Conduct project kickoffs, outage challenge reviews, pre/post job briefings, and compile comprehensive reports on scope, schedule, budget, and lessons learned
- —Provide leadership to Westinghouse Technical Leads and exercise design/signature authority within areas of expertise
- —Support other sites during outages as required
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master of Science degree in engineering or related field; minimum 10–15 years of nuclear industry experience in engineering or product management; minimum 5 years of nuclear industry hands-on experience; significant customer-facing experience; working knowledge of human performance tools with strong safety focus; experience with NSSS engineering requirements and field service/major project planning and execution; ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels; proficiency in English; right-level access status for nuclear plant sites.
Desired
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification; bilingual capability in Chinese and English.
Location
50% or greater travel required; onsite nuclear plant facility access required.
