Senior Project Manager
About this role
Senior Project Manager for Westinghouse's Reactor Component Upgrades and Major Programs team at the Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. Manage moderate to high complexity projects or portfolios of lower complexity projects, overseeing project execution, cost estimation, and delivery for nuclear reactor component upgrades and support services.
Responsibilities
- —Manage all project management processes for moderate to high complexity projects or portfolios of lower complexity projects
- —Oversee development of cost estimates and offers to improve operating plant support
- —Complete all aspects of planning to meet Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR)
- —Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements and changes to teams using integrated change management processes
- —Coordinate project communications and perform final project quality assessment
- —Identify opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance for future work
- —Cultivate relationships with team, customer, and partner stakeholders
- —Use and support Westinghouse project management systems and controls
- —Support financial planning through forecasting spending on assigned projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline; 5 or more years of experience as a project manager leading and directing low to moderate complexity projects to successful completion.
Desired
Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Business; more than 6 years of experience as a project manager in a technical industry; PMI PMP certification; 3 years of project management experience with 2 additional years in a technical leadership role.
Location
On-site at Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA; must be local or willing to relocate; travel required.
