About this role

Lead technical responsibility for development and administration of major manufacturing programs at Westinghouse's Columbia, SC nuclear fuel and components facility. Drive process innovation, equipment design, and manufacturing excellence in support of nuclear energy production.

Responsibilities

  • Specify, design, develop, install, and qualify new manufacturing processes and equipment for nuclear applications
  • Support equipment design upgrades to improve optimization and reliability of current manufacturing systems
  • Lead cross-departmental coordination to implement project scope, schedule, and capital spending targets
  • Analyze and recommend technological innovations in materials, machinery, and chemical processing to solve complex nuclear manufacturing challenges
  • Analyze business opportunities and contribute to plant/division strategic planning
  • Represent Westinghouse on professional society and industry trade associations
  • Prepare technical papers and formal presentations to customers and stakeholders
  • Confer with management, engineering, and staff on manufacturing capabilities and production facilitation

Preferred qualifications

Nuclear industry experience; familiarity with nuclear fuel fabrication or nuclear component manufacturing
