As a Senior EHS Director - Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing you will be accountable for establishing and promoting a world-class industrial safety culture, with the expectation that everyone goes home safe every day. Lead safety results reporting across the organization, analyze trends, and develop programs to improve performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the long-term environmental, health and safety strategies for the global Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing.
- Ensure and promote a world-class industrial safety culture, in which our expectation is that everyone goes home safe, every day.
- Ensure implementation of Corporate EHS programs, plans, expectations, and procedures within the businesses and at all sites to exceed environmental, safety and health performance goals.
- Lead a direct-report organization of 2 managers and an indirect-report organization of 5 manufacturing site EHS leaders.
- Lead the Nuclear Fuel Manufacturing EHS Council, overseeing safety, sustainability, risk, emergency preparedness, and compliance.
- Lead safety results reporting across the organization, analyze trends, and develop programs for improving performance.
- Partner with sites to ensure EHS regulatory compliance, including safety, environmental incident response, and nuclear material accountability.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the corporate Quality organization to ensure integration of programs where applicable, and to partner with them in ensuring global implementation of all programs.
- Assess existing EHS-related regulatory programs and identify any deficiencies; develop action plans to address gaps and preclude external agency audits or investigations.
- Lead EHS audit processes and conduct periodic audits to reduce risks and address issues.
