Senior Director, Poland I&C Delivery
About this role
Lead end-to-end delivery of a $1.2B Instrumentation & Control scope for Poland's three AP1000 nuclear units. Full P&L accountability across design, engineering, software development, procurement, manufacturing, testing, site installation, and commissioning. Serve as Westinghouse's primary interface to the Polish utility and European nuclear regulators. Manage a geographically distributed team of ~265 FTEs across the U.S., Bulgaria, Spain, Poland, and other international locations.
Responsibilities
- —Own complete I&C delivery lifecycle for Poland Units 1, 2, and 3—design input through commissioning closeout—with accountability for safety, quality, schedule, cost, risk, and contractual performance
- —Maintain full P&L accountability: margin protection, cash flow management, cost forecasting, expenditure compliance review, and financial performance reporting
- —Plan, ramp, and lead globally distributed I&C organization; execute multi-year workforce planning and capability development
- —Coordinate cross-functional organizations (ICS engineering, manufacturing, APx/ESC Supply Chain) to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- —Onboard new suppliers and address product obsolescence to complete all design, engineering, software development, and factory testing per contract
- —Ensure integration of Balance of Plant and Turbine Island systems (delivered under separate EPC contracts) into overall I&C architecture
- —Serve as primary Westinghouse interface to Polish utility for all I&C scope execution, performance reporting, and issue resolution
- —Engage directly with Polish and European regulatory authorities on I&C licensing, qualification, and regulatory compliance
- —Manage contract and project requirements interpretation; administer integrated change management processes
- —Develop project progress metrics and contribute to top-level internal and external project reports
- —Ensure all project personnel meet required training and qualification standards
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, or related field
- —10+ years managing large engineering and procurement projects
- —Proven track record managing large, complex projects from inception to completion
- —Experience managing large new plant or operating I&C projects of comparable size and complexity
- —Knowledge of nuclear power plant design, construction, operations, and regulatory requirements
- —Westinghouse Program Management certification and/or PMI PMP certification
- —Proficiency with SAP and Primavera P6
- —Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10–30% minimum)
Desired
- —Advanced degree in Business or Engineering
- —Broad familiarity with nuclear plant design, licensing, and operational areas
- —Familiarity with AP1000 nuclear reactor technology
Location
Cranberry Township or Warrendale, PA; 10–30% travel to domestic and international sites required.
