Senior Director, I&C Safety Systems
About this role
Lead Westinghouse's global Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Safety Systems engineering organization, overseeing 150+ engineers and technicians across Americas, EMEA, and Asia. Drive technical strategy, product delivery, and innovation in nuclear safety systems while maintaining Westinghouse's position as industry leader in I&C safety technology.
Responsibilities
- —Lead global I&C Safety Systems Engineering organization delivering products and solutions for operating fleet customers across Americas, EMEA, and Asia
- —Champion customer engagement to ensure operating realities inform product strategies and solution design
- —Manage resource scope of 150+ engineers/technicians and 12+ management staff across USA, EMEA, and Asia locations
- —Build and develop global engineering workforce through structured training programs and career growth pathways
- —Ensure resource allocation across concurrent complex projects, aligning talent and capabilities with business demand
- —Develop standardized global processes and governance structures for consistency, quality, and scalability
- —Lead development of engineering practices that mitigate technical and regulatory risk
- —Reduce product and delivery costs through value engineering, lean methodologies, and process improvements
- —Accelerate innovation through strategic partnerships and internal R&D for new technologies and solutions
- —Oversee product development programs balancing performance, cost, and lifecycle value
- —Ensure compliance with all applicable global safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in engineering
- —15+ years of progressive leadership experience managing complex engineering organizations with instrumentation and control systems background
- —Expertise in estimating and implementing complex engineering programs
- —Demonstrated ability to detect industry shifts and align product strategies to emerging market needs
- —Record of driving organizational performance and results
Location
Hybrid role based in Warrendale, PA; reports to VP, GOS I&C Engineering
