Senior Commissioning Engineer
About this role
Lead commissioning program development and strategy for Westinghouse's AP1000 nuclear reactors. Establish standard procedures, oversee testing infrastructure, develop pre-operational and startup testing protocols, and support multiple project teams across the APx organization.
Responsibilities
- —Lead application development and deployment with cross-functional engineering teams
- —Develop and maintain the standard commissioning program strategy document
- —Develop and maintain recommended standard commissioning schedules
- —Develop and maintain standard commissioning administrative procedures
- —Develop pre-operational and startup testing procedures, including system turnover packages following engineering specifications
- —Plan and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure readiness of deployable test engineers
- —Identify and support procurement of specialty test equipment
- —Support APx project teams and respond to customer requests for information
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent; 5+ years of applicable experience; experience with nuclear power plant operations; understanding of ITAACs (Inspections, Tests, Analysis, Acceptance Criteria); strong commitment to safety and procedural compliance; analytical thinking and root cause analysis skills; project coordination and time management; ability to work within cross-functional teams; first-time quality in documentation.
Desired
Understanding of AP1000 COL (Combined Operating License) process; AP1000 plant commissioning/testing experience; Project Management skills; familiarity with testing and testing analysis; experience mentoring and leading engineers in execution of complex tasks.
Location
Hybrid (2 days/week onsite): Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA
