Required qualifications

Responsibilities
- Perform surveillance tests, routine and emergency maintenance, calibrations, troubleshooting, modifications, and inspections of nuclear plant protection relays, alarms, and control circuitry systems
- Install, test, calibrate, maintain, diagnose and remedy improper performance of protection, data acquisition, monitoring and control equipment for electrical systems
- Conduct pre- and post-job briefs; develop test plans and assist in design reviews for protective relay systems
- Interface with Engineering, System Operations, Radiation Protection, and Project Management on protective relay installation, calibration, operation, and maintenance
- Maintain knowledge of permit and tag system, NERC, OSHA, NRC regulations, and radiological safety protocols
- Assist in training and development of relay test technicians; participate in root cause and lessons learned discussions
- Maintain calibration records and test equipment per M&TE program; develop and maintain programmable instrumentation software
- Install and maintain fiber-optic cable and equipment; operate utility vehicles and ATVs for site work
- Work from heights on scaffolds or man-lifts; maintain unescorted access for SSES
- Participate in emergency response drills and in-plant team activities as required
