Quality Specialist
About this role
Westinghouse Quality Specialist role ensuring compliance with NRC regulations (10 CFR 50 Appendix B), NQA-1, and ISO 19443 standards. Manage document control, product certifications, corrective actions, and regulatory preparation at the Ogden, UT nuclear manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- —Administer document control program per 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, ISO 19443, and company procedures
- —Control quality documents and records including procedures, work standards, specifications, and ensure only current approved versions are in use
- —Process document revisions, distribution, change notifications, and archival activities
- —Verify document and record retention requirements per regulatory, customer, and contractual obligations
- —Prepare documentation for internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections
- —Prepare, file, and archive product certifications; coordinate with customers on discrepancies
- —Document conditions adverse to quality and track corrective actions through resolution
- —Support internal, supplier, customer, and regulatory audits including preparation and follow-up
- —Conduct quality investigations related to documentation, certifications, or process compliance
- —Participate in continuous improvement activities for quality systems and compliance
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; 1+ year experience in manufacturing, chemical plant, or industrial setting
Desired
B.S. in STEM degree (equivalent experience considered)
Location
Ogden, UT; 100% onsite
