About this role
Senior Quality Engineer implementing Westinghouse quality policies and systems for nuclear power plant projects. Drive performance improvements across nuclear and non-nuclear initiatives, lead multi-area projects, and serve as quality liaison to NRC, customers, and industry partners. Focus on design compliance for reactor primary and secondary loop structures, systems, and components.
Responsibilities
- Direct assessments of nuclear operations and identify performance improvement opportunities through quality reviews, EHS audits, and total quality assessments
- Review design engineering documentation for nuclear power plant primary and secondary loop SSCs to verify compliance with technical QA requirements
- Identify deviations that could create safety/environmental hazards and coordinate corrective actions with cognizant personnel
- Assess supplier performance through audits, surveillances, and commercial grade surveys
- Lead complex multi-area projects while monitoring budgetary and schedule constraints
- Serve as quality liaison/coordinator for regulatory agencies (NRC), customers, licensees, ASME, and ISO inquiries
- Lead internal and industry process improvement committees and work with industry organizations on quality changes
