Proficiency in performing source, receiving, in-process, and final inspections with accurate documentation. Experience with nonconformance tracking, corrective actions, and quality issue resolution. Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments.
About this role
Project Quality Specialist embedded with Oklo's project and EPC teams to implement and execute quality assurance and quality control across engineering, procurement, construction, inspection, testing, and turnover. Ensures all work meets ASME NQA-1, ANSI/ANS-15.8, NRC regulatory requirements, and Oklo procedures with hands-on oversight in office and field environments.
Responsibilities
Support implementation and continuous improvement of the project Quality Assurance Program per ASME NQA-1 and ANSI/ANS-15.8. Interpret quality, contractual, technical, regulatory, and code requirements and translate them into practical project controls, procedures, and acceptance criteria. Develop and maintain project quality plans, inspection and test plans, inspection checklists, surveillance plans, and quality requirement matrices. Participate in design and constructability reviews to verify quality requirements, design inputs, interfaces, field changes, and configuration controls. Review procurement specifications, purchase orders, and subcontracts to ensure appropriate quality clauses and technical requirements are included. Support supplier qualification, evaluation, audits, source surveillances, and performance monitoring in coordination with Procurement and Engineering. Review supplier and subcontractor submittals, quality plans, inspection records, material certifications, and test reports for completeness and compliance. Provide field quality assurance oversight and perform quality control verification of EPC contractors on civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work. Perform and document source, receiving, in-process, construction, and final inspections; witness tests; and verify objective evidence. Inspect and verify controls for special processes including welding, nondestructive examination, heat treatment, and concrete placement. Monitor construction work packages, field activities, and quality control documentation; identify and escalate conditions adverse to quality. Initiate, review, and track nonconformance reports, corrective actions, and quality issues; support root cause evaluations and effectiveness verification. Plan and perform project audits, surveillances, assessments, and field inspections of internal organizations, contractors, and suppliers. Ensure quality assurance records and construction completion documentation are complete, accurate, traceable, and retrievable. Support prevention and identification of counterfeit, fraudulent, and suspect items. Develop quality metrics, inspection status reports, and trend analyses that communicate performance and emerging risks to project leadership. Provide quality assurance and quality control guidance to Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and contractor personnel. Support construction completion, system turnover, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
