Project Manager
About this role
Lead project management and a small team at Westinghouse's Swedish operations in Västerås, overseeing all aspects of nuclear technology and services project delivery—from planning and stakeholder management to cost control and closure. Report to the Project Execution Lead, EMEA.
Responsibilities
- —Develop and maintain relationships with team, customers, suppliers, Westinghouse in-country representatives, and stakeholders to drive projects to successful completion
- —Complete initiating and planning processes; author project charters and management plans covering scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholder management
- —Interpret and communicate project and contract requirements and changes to departments using an integrated change management process
- —Coordinate project communications; keep team, customers, and stakeholders informed of status; develop and deliver presentations
- —Close projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems; perform final quality assessments
- —Identify and implement improvement or recovery opportunities to promote successful delivery and business growth
- —Demonstrate knowledge and application of industry standard practices including Human Performance, Nuclear Safety Culture, CAPAL Corrective Actions Program, and Learning Clocks
- —Ensure compliance with Westinghouse quality procedures and Quality Management System; promote safety culture
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Manufacturing, or related discipline. 5+ years of experience as a project manager in a technical industry (engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction). Very good English skills. Demonstrated skills in project scheduling and cost management. Ability to transform data into information for visual reports and presentations.
Desired
Project controls-related certification.
Location
Västerås, Sweden. Hybrid position. Security clearance required as part of recruitment.
