Required qualifications

About this role

Principal Project Controls Engineer leading civil schedule management for TerraPower's Natrium advanced reactor project. You'll oversee project performance tracking, earned value analysis, and schedule control for this cutting-edge DOE-funded nuclear facility, working across TerraPower teams and external subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, report, and trend all NI/EI civil construction schedule issues
  • Apply EVMS principles and project management best practices to support scope and deliverable execution
  • Lead month-end Earned Value reporting process, analyzing BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SPI, CPI, EAC, BAC, VAC with variance reporting for threshold exceedances
  • Gather, analyze, and verify schedule performance data; monitor project work-in-place costs including procurement, subcontractor spend, and accruals
  • Lead change control process through development and processing of Project Change Notices (PCNs) into P6 baseline and live schedules monthly
  • Create ad-hoc reports, analyses, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders
  • Evaluate schedule progress and performance; identify problem areas and communicate via Power BI dashboards and collaborative modeling tools
  • Facilitate project review meetings and planning sessions as the primary project controls point of contact

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical field
  • PMP or AACE certification
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA)
