Product Engineer
About this role
Product Engineer role at Westinghouse focused on developing and enhancing nuclear fuel products using established Westinghouse methodologies. You'll collaborate across multifaceted teams on design analyses, product testing, and manufacturability improvements in a hybrid setup based in Columbia, SC.
Responsibilities
- —Perform engineering design analyses using Westinghouse methodologies to develop new nuclear fuel products and enhancements
- —Initiate and support product testing activities for nuclear fuel and related components
- —Evaluate test results and document findings in technical reports
- —Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to support design activities
- —Execute design changes to improve manufacturability
- —Identify and develop new business opportunities
- —Work in multifaceted teams on new product development and issue resolution
Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering; 0+ years of engineering experience; knowledge of basic engineering principles and techniques; strong teamwork skills
Desired
Familiarity with SolidWorks, ANSYS, and MATLAB
