Principal Project Procurement Manager
About this role
Lead procurement strategy and execution for Westinghouse's Ogden capital project, managing sourcing, negotiation, and oversight of specialized equipment, materials, and services for nuclear energy infrastructure. Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors and cross-functional Supply Chain teams to deliver on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- —Build procurement strategies and plans aligned with project and offer teams; identify demand and establish supplier communication channels
- —Prepare and coordinate RFx processes including NDAs; solicit quotations and lead complex negotiations on pricing, delivery, terms, and conditions for equipment, components, and services
- —Evaluate supplier financial stability, global presence, capacity, and manufacturing processes against project technical requirements; apply corporate Approved Supplier List process
- —Manage supplier relationships post-purchase order, including change management, cost analysis, and resolution of contract performance issues
- —Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Westinghouse procurement procedures; support Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years of project procurement experience; 5+ years managing complex value projects; 5+ years of procurement experience in complex EPC projects; hands-on experience with vendor purchase order issuance, execution, and administration
