Principal Project Manager
About this role
Lead digital instrumentation and controls (I&C) upgrades for multiple nuclear customers as Principal Project Manager on Westinghouse's Americas ICS team. Manage complex, in-flight projects with full accountability for scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder satisfaction across nuclear power generation facilities.
Responsibilities
- —Manage all aspects of I&C upgrade projects including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders
- —Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and customer requirements while improving profitability
- —Execute Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR) processes and coordinate rigorous project communications with team, customers, and stakeholders
- —Identify improvement and recovery opportunities to promote successful project delivery and measure success through established KPIs
- —Provide accurate financial forecasts, backlog resource demand projections, and hardware/manufacturing demand estimates
- —Utilize EAC management, risk mitigation, acceleration, and cost reduction initiatives to maximize profitability
- —Collaborate with Contract Managers to interpret requirements and manage changes through integrated change management processes
- —Work with GOS engineering, resource, and supply chain teams to deliver project commitments and resolve support gaps
- —Support Americas ICS tendering and sales organizations with execution strategies, schedules, cost-estimates, and risk registers for new projects
- —Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, customers, vendors, and leadership
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Project Management
- —5+ years of progressive experience leading large, complex I&C or engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects in the nuclear industry
- —Familiarity with the Project Management Institute (PMI®)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge
Desired
- —10+ years of progressive project management experience
- —PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or other approved equivalent project management certification (required within 1 year if not held)
- —Westinghouse Advanced Project Manager qualification (required within designated time period; exemptions may apply based on prior training and experience)
Location
Warrendale, PA facility; on-site 2-3 days per week; mobile position
